The two parties will cooperate to produce higher security, lower cost and higher energy. The density of "super lithium batteries" and modules, and promote the global industrialization of new products, continue to enhance lithium battery technology and quality, and promote the industry's continued innovation and development.
Under the agreement, the two companies will optimize Cadenza Innovation's new lithium-encapsulation technology and work globally with their respective project teams in the US and China. The production line of BAK battery for "super battery" and module has been started in Zhengzhou BAK Industrial Park and is expected to be mass-produced next year.
As a representative of domestic cylindrical battery companies, BAK Battery has made breakthroughs in the field of cylindrical battery energy density. The company's current mass production of ternary materials 18650-2.75Ah battery products, the specific energy up to 232Wh / Kg, providing the highest life of 500 kilometers for electric vehicles.
In May of this year, BAK Battery officially released 18650-3.0Ah high-performance electric core products, purchasing high nickel positive electrode + silicon carbon negative electrode material system, monomer specific energy reached 250wh / kg, can achieve 500 kilometers long cruising range .
High-tech lithium battery has learned that at present, 3.0Ah18650 batteries have been mass-produced in Zhengzhou BAK Industrial Park, with a production capacity of 6.5GWh and a daily output of 2 million units, which has been put into market application. And signed a multi-million yuan 18650-3.0Ah battery purchase contract with the new force of the car, to achieve volume supply.
Dr. Luo Zhaojun, chief engineer and chairman of the Becker battery, said: "At present, the 18650 battery of BAK has obvious advantages in comparison with Japanese and Korean friends in terms of available capacity and cycle life. This year, it will also introduce a 3.2Ah 18650 battery. As well as the 4.5700 battery products of 4.5Ah and 4.8Ah, the square batteries will also be launched with 48Ah and 50Ah products."
Under the direct link between subsidy amount and energy density, current power battery companies are increasing the energy density of their power batteries through various channels, and supporting various OEMs to upgrade new models into the recommended catalog to obtain more subsidies. BAK Battery continues to increase its market share in the power battery field by virtue of its energy density and product safety.
According to the statistics of the High-tech Research Institute of Lithium-Ion Research Institute (GGII), the total installed capacity of China's power battery in August 2018 was about 4.17GWh, a year-on-year increase of 44%. The total installed power of the top ten power battery companies totaled about 90%, and the concentration increased further.
Among them, BAK batteries ranked 110th in the total installed capacity of domestic power batteries in August and January-August with 110186kwh and 578320kwh respectively, mainly for ternary batteries, becoming the battery with the highest market share in domestic cylindrical batteries. enterprise.
Since 2018, BAK Battery has supplied power batteries in batches for more than a dozen OEMs such as Jiangnan Automobile, Haima Automobile, Jianghuai Automobile, Nanjing Automobile, Yundu New Energy, Dongfeng Motor, Southeast Automobile, SAIC-GM-Wuling and Chengdu Dayun. . With the arrival of the new energy vehicle market in the second half of the year and the launch of a number of new models of AVIC's cruising range, the battery shipments and installed capacity of the BAK battery will further increase.
